Call for Student Film Fest Shorts

I'm gathering short videos from Morgan County youth for a high school / home school student film festival sometime in the fall, the date to be determined.

Intergenerational Interviews.

These short form videos (shorts) can be horizontal or vertical format, but must be about an intergenerational matter. This can be as simple as the student interviewing a parent, grandparent or other older family member, or it could involve a visit to an assisted living or senior center. Of interest is the interviewing of older folks with stories to tell about growing up in the previous century and what life was like in Morgan County back then, how they view changes happening now, and what they think the future holds for their offspring.

Spend some time this summer talking with folks of different ages; it's important.

Student Film Fest Submission Info:

• No more than five (5) minutes in length.
• The subject of the short film is intergenerational interviews.
• If you don't already have one, get a Gmail account.
• Use your Gmail account to create a Youtube Channel. (Google owns Youtube)
• Make a short test video.
• Upload the test video to your Youtube Channel.
• Use Youtube Studio to edit and rework your test video.
• Experiment and be creative.
• When you have ONE video that you want to submit to the Morgan County Student Film Festival, copy the URL for it and email the link along with your name and contact info to studentFF@videosprings.com.
